Travel...

We have always been travelers. While I was a child, my father and mother would take the family on an automobile tour through some part of the country every summer. These trips lasted from tow to three weeks and almost always involved staying in a tent in campgrounds across the US. As a result, I had visited about 35 states and most of the major cities before I graduated from high school. We also traveled into Canada and Mexico.

My own family has also traveled extensively, but sometimes in a different way and for different reasons. I have now been to 48 of the 50 states, to Puerto Rico and to parts of Europe. One of my daughters has lived in Japan for awhile and another daughter stayed with a family in France for part of a summer. She got to stay in a little village up in the mountains of Corsica where she was the first American visitor since the end of World War Two.

This area is mostly pictures with a few related short stories. Oh yes, some of our boating experiences are also here.
